Blackshaw Moor School follows – ‘Good Food In Staffordshire Schools’
All menus include a mix of hot meals with vegetables rice/pasta /potatoes. All meals are cooked and prepared on site from basic ingredients. Using recipes that are low in fat, sugar and salt and cooking methods that retain vital nutrients ensures that the meals provided are healthy and nutritious. We ensure colours and additives are kept to a minimum.
At Blackshaw Moor School we like to create an environment where young people feel they have the confidence, skills and understanding to make healthy food choices and mealtime interaction with others.
Water is always available on each table.
Our Kitchen staff would be pleased to discuss any concerns/queries you may have regarding school lunches for your child. The catering company have a form for dietary requirements should your child need anything different. Please see link to the form for Aspens.
Aspens Special Diet requirements
All meals are paid through Arbor. There are three choices each day a main course, a jacket potato, pasta pot or a freshly made sandwich. The cost of the school meal is £2.90. We ask that you keep your Arbor account in credit and not to let it go into a debt of more than £5.00.
If you are on Income Support or Income Based Job Seekers Allowance, your child is entitled to free school meals. You will be required to provide proof of benefit when making a claim.

Our school provides a milk scheme that is available to all pupils. School milk is free for the under 5’s. You can register your child for milk with Cool Milk and this is 20p per carton. For more information please ask at the office.
